In a Network Operating Center (NOC) typically there will be a big screen projected on the wall for monitoring many KVM console sessions. The purpose of the RS-232 port is to provide the ability to change all KVM console sessions from any one KVM console. This reduces the effort of the operator to go to each of the consoles to switch the KVM session, saving time and effort. |
