Yes, use Cat5e cable to connect the KVM switch's serial port to a SA0142 adapter. 

Connect the SA0142 adapter's serial connector to the serial device's console cable. 

If the COM port has been configured as serial port, you can find the Port Property page a screen similar to the picture below.

Confirm the Bits per second, Data bits, Parity and other necessary setting, then you can click the COM port to open a terminal viewer to connect the network switch.
