Description :
[CS692] Why is the screen display normal after connecting to the computer, but the keyboard and mouse are unresponsive?

Solution :
If you encounter keyboard/mouse failure during installation (even if the mouse LED is lit), or experience issues connecting wireless combos (e.g., Logitech Unifying / Bolt) or gaming peripherals, please follow these steps for troubleshooting and configuration:
1. Verify USB Cable Connections (Critical)
Basic Requirement: Each PC-side cable set on the CS692 features two USB connectors (Black and Purple). You must plug at least the Purple USB connector into the computer’s USB port.
Complete Connection: For optimal power supply and signal stability, it is highly recommended to plug both the Black and Purple USB connectors into the computer simultaneously.
Technical Note: On the CS692, the Purple USB cable handles primary data and emulation. The Black USB cable provides supplemental power and handles mouse data transmission once Mouse Emulation is disabled. Both are often necessary for laptops and wireless setups.
2. Configuration for Wireless/Gaming Keyboards & Mice
Port Placement: If you are using a wireless combo with a single receiver, you must plug the receiver into the dedicated port marked with the "Keyboard" icon on the CS692 console side. If using separate peripherals, ensure each is plugged into its corresponding designated port.
Emulation Mode Adjustment: If the devices remain unresponsive, the KVM’s Keyboard/Mouse Emulation may be conflicting with the wireless receiver or gaming driver. We recommend disabling emulation to enhance USB compatibility:
Disable Keyboard Emulation: Press [Num Lock] + [-] + [N] + [Enter]/[Ctrl] + [F12] + [N] + [Enter]
Disable Mouse Emulation: Press [Num Lock] + [-] + [M] + [Enter]/[Ctrl] + [F12] + [M] + [Enter]

3. Troubleshooting Checklist
Power Supply: If only one USB is connected and the device fails to respond (despite the sensor light being on), this usually indicates insufficient power. Ensure both USB connectors are plugged in.
Firmware Update: Verify that your CS692 is running the latest firmware version to ensure maximum system and hardware compatibility.
Device Testing: We recommend testing with a basic wired keyboard and mouse first. Once you confirm the KVM is switching correctly, swap in your wireless/gaming peripherals for advanced configuration.
