Subject :
VS1508 Video Quality in Long Distance

Description :
I’m using the VS1508 for our Media Distribution Solution, with Cat 5e cable to extend the audio/video signal over a long distance - up to 450m (with an additional VB552 repeater).
However, I find the video quality is distorted at ranges above 300m. How can I improve the video quality?

Solution :
Here are our recommendations:
1. Use Cat 5e cable for your installation (not Cat 6 cable).
2. Use only high quality twisted pair network cable, for example the Belden 1583A Cable is a good choice.
3. Use low delay skew cables in any long distance setup.
4. The VE510 Video Synchronizer is an excellent solution designed to compensate for video signal delays causing distortion over long distances.
