The firmware can be downloaded ATEN website. Check the website regularly to find the latest information and packages.

To upgrade the mainboard firmware, do the following: 

1. Use the Firmware Upgrade Cable provided with this unit to connect a COM port on your computer to the Firmware Upgrade Port of your switch.

2. Shut down all the computers, but not the stations, on the KVM installation. 

3. From your KVM switch console, login to the OSD as the administrator(see manual, page 27) and select the F4 ADM function. 

4. Scroll down to FIRMWARE UPGRADE. Press [Enter], then press [Y] to invoke Firmware Upgrade mode 

5. Run the downloaded firmware upgrade package file either by double clicking the file icon, or by opening a command line and entering the full path to it.

6. Follow the steps, click Next to continue to finish the upgrade process.

To upgrade the icard firmware, do the following: 

1. Download the new firmware file to your computer. 

2. Open your browser; log in to the CS1708i / CS1716i; and click the Maintenance icon. 

3. Click Browse (to the right of the Firmware File text input box); navigate to the directory that the new firmware file is in and select the file. 

4. Click Upload. 

5. After the upload completes, and a message appears on the screen to inform you that the operations succeeded, logout to exit and reset the CS1708i/CS1716i.
