	Yes! This kind of devices need to use a software to control through a PC's COM port. Basically, SN3101 has the software-- "Real COM Port" which can let the SN3101's port to pretend a PC's com port. So, when you set SN3101 as a virtual COM port for your PC, your serial device can work well even you use its own software.
