Unknown device error
Description :
Installed product on Client's WinXP laptop. Worked Ok until client took laptop home. Now get "Unknown Device" error from WinXP on re-connecting. Unable to re-install as do not know which driver/file to replace.
Solution :
About your questions, please reference the step as below:
1.Please connect the printer to your PC without UC-1284B, check it works fine or not.
2.Basically, Windows XP supports UC-1284B natively, so you do not need to install an extra driver for it. However, the USB drivers might be missing,please try to install the attached driver.
3.The device manager will add a "USB printing support" after UC-1284B install successful.
4.Please change the printer port to the virtual USB then you should use it normally.
5.If you have another computers, try to install the UC-1284B then test it.
