Subject :
DI & DO Mode
Description :
How do I configure DI and DO Modes?
Solution :
In the attached clip we will demonstrate the configuration of DI (Digital Input) and DO (Digital Output) devices in the Configurator. In the example, I/O1 and I/O2 are configured as DO for FAN Forward and FAN Reverse respectively; I/O3 and I/O4 are configured as DI(Dry Contact) for detecting Push buttons.
Let’s first check DO: DO acts as a Relay port but with lower current allowed (250mA) in VK2100. In the example when we “close” a DO for FAN forward, it closes the loop for the relay circuit and causes the FAN to run forward; vice versa for FAN Reverse.
In DI (Dry Contact mode): VK2100 continuously monitors the status of DI. In push button applications, when the button is pushed, the VK2100 senses the status change and triggers the defined action. In the example when push button1 is pressed, Relay port 1 to port 3 will be closed; when push button2 is pressed, Relay port 1 to port 3 will be opened.
