kind of connection interfaces can the VK2100 use for device control?

The VK2100 provides serial ports (RS-232/422/485) for industrial connections, relay channels for relay applications, I/O ports for signal triggering, IR channels for infrared remote control or extending, and LAN for network devices. VK2100 can integrate them all as long as the target devices use the one of connections above and are able to be manipulated.
