Subject :
CS62U can't set under 1680X1050
Description :
When I connect the CS62U to some PC’s bundled with an Intel integrated chipset, I can't find the 1680X1050 screen resolution within Windows. How can I fix this?
Solution :
Certain Intel Integrated chipsets cannot read a display device’s EDID properly, and this causes some resolutions (1920x1080, 1680x1050, and 1440x900) not to appear in the graphics properties menu.
Intel suggests that you update the graphics driver for the Intel Integrated chipset to the newest version in order to solve this problem.
After updating the driver, you also need to change a setting:
Go to: Control Panel-->Display-->Screen-->Advanced-->Monitor--> Uncheck “Hide modes that this monitor cannot display”, to disable this setting. Click OK.
After you have updated the Intel driver and disabled the setting above, the CS62U will be able to use the 1680X1050 screen resolution within Windows.
