How do I recover the CN6000 switch by resetting the password, configuration, or firmware version back to the factory default setting? |
| |
| Solution : |
|
There is a “Firmware Upgrade/Reset Switch” on the front panel of the CN6000. Press and hold the button while powering on the CN6000 to return it back to the factory default firmware version.
To reset the CN6000 back to the factory default settings, with the CN6000 powered on, press and hold the “Firmware Upgrade/Reset Switch” for more than two seconds.
If you forget the password to your CN6000, do the following to reset it: 1.Power off the CN6000 and remove the housing. 2.Use a jumper cap to short the jumper on the mainboard labeled: J6. 3.Power on the switch. 4.When the front panel LEDs flash, power off the switch. 5.Remove the jumper cap from J6. 6.Secure the housing and start the CN6000. Now use the original default Username and Password to log in to the CN6000.
