When connecting UC3020 with a USB-C to USB-A adapter, CAMLIVE will be set to either USB3.1 or USB2.0 connection mode. This will affect the available options of your video input format (USB3.1-RAW or USB2.0-MJPEG compression). To make sure the result match your media output you wish to capture, please check the detected video format from your capture software first.

Further information about the principle: - USB-C is two-fold rotationally-symmetrical and CC pin is used to detect whether it’s correct or opposite side. For example, CC1 corresponds SSTX1/SSRX1. - For correct plug, switch to SSTX1/SSRX1 and for the opposite 180 degrees rotation,switch to SSRX2&SSTX2. Because of there’s no IC in USB-A adapter to redirect TX1/RX1 and TX2/RX2, so it uses USB 2.0 in the opposite 180 degrees rotation.
